Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of CricBidder, including the website at cricbidder.com, the apps at app.cricbidder.com and auction.cricbidder.com, the public live auction pages, the free auction game, and every related service (together, the "Platform").
The Platform is operated by Shaheem M Shereef, trading as CricBidder, an individual sole proprietor based in India (not yet registered as a company), with an address at Shaas, Valavatty, Azhicode P.O., Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695564, India ("CricBidder", "we", "us" or "our").
By creating an account, buying a package, playing the free game or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation, Refund and Delivery Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. What CricBidder is
CricBidder is software for running cricket player auctions. It has two parts:
- The free game: a quick, fun auction against computer-controlled teams or with friends, using fictional teams and fictional players. It is free, needs no payment and offers no prizes.
- Real auctions: tools for tournament organizers to create a tournament, add teams and players, invite team managers and an auctioneer, run a live auction, show it publicly and export the results. Real auctions require a paid package.
CricBidder provides the software only. We do not organise, own, sponsor, referee or manage any tournament, team or match run by our users.
2. Who can use the Platform
- You may play the free game as a guest without an account.
- To create an account, buy a package or run an auction you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
- A person under 18 may use an account (for example, as a registered tournament player) only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.
- If you use the Platform for a club, school, company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and login links private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us at support@cricbidder.com straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Invitations for managers, auctioneers and players are personal. Do not forward them to people who are not meant to use them.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is used for fraud, or puts other users or the Platform at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
4. Packages, pricing and payment
- Real auctions are sold per auction. Each package allows one auction with up to the number of teams shown on the package. The current packages and prices are on our Pricing page.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes, unless the Pricing page says otherwise. There are no hidden charges at checkout.
- A package is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews automatically.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay, a payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. You can pay with UPI, cards, net banking, wallets or any other method Razorpay offers you at checkout. Your use of Razorpay is also subject to Razorpay's own terms.
- We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password.
- Your auction is unlocked only after Razorpay confirms the payment to our servers. If money leaves your account but the auction is not unlocked, see the Cancellation, Refund and Delivery Policy.
- Upgrades: if your tournament grows, you can move the same auction to a larger package by paying only the difference between the two package prices.
- A package cannot be moved to a different auction, split between auctions, resold or exchanged for cash, except as our refund policy allows.
- We may change prices or packages at any time. A change never affects a package you have already paid for.
- Promotional offers and coupons, if any, apply only on the terms shown with them.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Cancellation, Refund and Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
6. Organizer responsibilities
If you create a tournament or auction, you are responsible for it. In particular:
- Your rules and your money. Auction purses on CricBidder are virtual points used for bidding. CricBidder does not collect, hold or pay franchise fees, player registration fees, prize money or any other money between organizers, team owners and players. Any such money is a matter between you and them, and you are responsible for handling it lawfully.
- No gambling. You must not use the Platform for betting, wagering, gambling, any game where people stake money or money's worth on an uncertain outcome, or any "online money game" prohibited by the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 or other law.
- Player data. When you add players, import a player list, open player registration or invite people, you decide what personal data is collected and why. For that data you are the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and CricBidder processes it on your behalf. You confirm that you have a lawful basis and any required consent (including verifiable parental consent for players under 18) for every person whose data you put on the Platform, and that you will tell them how it will be used, including on public live pages.
- Public pages. If you make an auction or tournament public, player names, photos, roles, base prices, sold prices and team squads can be seen by anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. Turn public listing off if you do not want this.
- Content rights. You must own or have permission to use every logo, photo, name and other content you upload, and it must not infringe anyone's trademark, copyright or personality rights.
- Running the event. A live auction depends on things outside our control, such as the internet connection, devices, screens and power at your venue and the devices of your managers. Test your setup before the event. We recommend a rehearsal using the free game.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break any law, or use the Platform for fraud, money laundering, gambling or any illegal activity;
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that violates someone's privacy or intellectual property;
- impersonate any person, team, league or organisation, or suggest that your tournament is endorsed by the BCCI, the IPL, any franchise, any cricket board or any cricketer when it is not;
- interfere with the auction engine, other users' auctions or the Platform's security, for example by bots, scripts, scraping, load testing, reverse engineering or probing for vulnerabilities, unless we have agreed in writing;
- try to manipulate bids, timers or results, or exploit a bug instead of reporting it to support@cricbidder.com;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Platform to others as your own service without our written agreement.
8. The free game
- The free game uses fictional teams and fictional players. Their names, ratings and prices are invented for entertainment. Any resemblance to a real person, team or league is coincidental and does not suggest any connection with, or endorsement by, them.
- The free game is a social game played for fun. It involves no entry fee, no stakes, no real money and no prizes of any kind. Virtual purses, prices and scores have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for anything.
- We may change, reset, limit or remove game content, rules, difficulty levels and leaderboards at any time.
- Results shared from the game (for example, a squad poster) must not be presented as real auction results.
9. Intellectual property
- The Platform, its software, design, auction engine, the CricBidder name and logo, and the free game's fictional teams and players belong to Shaheem M Shereef, trading as CricBidder or its licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them except to use the Platform as described here.
- You keep all rights in the content you upload. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and process that content only to run the Platform for you, including showing it on public pages you enable and in exports you request. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in routine backups for a limited time.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
- CricBidder is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the Indian Premier League, any IPL franchise, any other cricket board or league, or any cricketer. All third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
10. Complaints about content
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights (for example, your photo, name, logo or trademark is used without permission), write to the Grievance Officer in section 17 with the page link, a description of the problem and proof of your rights. We will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable the content.
11. Availability and changes to the Platform
- We work hard to keep the Platform fast and reliable, especially during live auctions, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
- We may carry out planned maintenance. We will try to schedule it outside common auction hours and announce it in advance where possible.
- We may improve, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that is essential to an auction you have already paid for and not yet run, you may ask for a refund under our refund policy.
12. Disclaimer
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee any outcome of your tournament or auction, and we are not responsible for the conduct of organizers, managers, players or spectators.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost sponsorship, lost data, reputational harm, or the costs of rescheduling an event;
- our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the auction that the claim relates to, or ₹1,000 if the claim does not relate to a paid auction.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
14. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses, costs and legal fees arising from content you upload, personal data you put on the Platform without a lawful basis, money you collect or pay in your tournament, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
15. Ending your use
- You can stop using the Platform at any time and ask us to delete your account from your account settings or by writing to support@cricbidder.com.
- We may suspend or end your access as described in section 3.
- Sections 6, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 continue to apply after your account ends.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first: most problems can be solved quickly by email. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, the courts at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
17. Contact and Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, our Grievance Officer is:

18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will also email account holders at least 7 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
19. General
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to a successor of our business.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cancellation, Refund and Delivery Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Platform.
